I was born in Washington D.C. and raised there through high school. D.C. is a big part of my identity, and I'm still friends with people from elementary through high school.

I went to Oyster Adams Bilingual school from pre-k through 8th grade. My father speaks Spanish (we're cuban) and spoke to us a little at home, but at school I learned half of every day in Spanish.

I love to sing

In childhood, performing was my main interest. I did musicals, talent shows, and even a couple weddings. I'd love to get back to it, singing was my first love.

Growing up

High school was my first time at a new school. D.C. is a pretty tightly knit community so I was with a lot of familiar faces. Yet everything still felt new. I struggled a bit with the new pace of classes and schoolwork.

Lock down

The pandemic was relatively easy on me. Unfortunately though, It did leave me without graduation and Prom, two big moments in many high school kid's lives. This left things feeling unresolved/ incomplete for a while.

Application and four years later

In the pandemic I took a year off in between high school and college. Parsons was the only school I applied to and luckily I got in. It's been a strange four years but I'm most grateful for who I've met along the way.
