         <description><![CDATA[<div>The bottom up approach to problem solving is often associated with No Child Left Behind. It entails the intervention to be tailored to the individual student in the general setting for the initial intervention. This is different from the Top-Bottom approach where the students as a whole receive the instruction and assessments and slowly getting more individualized if the problem does not get solved.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Brainstorming activity the can help problem solve through generating solutions anonymously.  The idea is to gather in a group and define the problem.  Once defined, determine a number and have each person write that many possible solutions on a blank piece of paper.  Everyone places their paper in the middle.  Once everyone has put the paper in the middle, they pick up a different paper and read all the solutions to see if they spark new solutions.  They repeat this process until everyone is out of possible solutions. Once it is done, the solutions are read out loud and everyone discusses the best options.   </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Response to Intervention is a form of problem solving within the school setting between special and general education staff.  It is systematic and allows for students to be assisted in their learning needs.  While RTI comes in many forms and is defined by the schools and districts that utilize it, it is data driven and scientifically based.  It's always different because even though it is designated under IDEA, there are very loose terms.  </div>]]></description>
