Coined "Ethical Space": The concept of “Ethical Space” was initially introduced by Dr. Willie Ermine, described as a theoretical space between thought worlds, often applied in the context of Indigenous and Western ways of knowing, that reflects a space where the uniqueness and diversity of each lens is respected and the strengths of each are elevated.

I consider him a hero because I find the way he thinks to be extremely thoughtful/thought provoking.

1) He as an Ojibwe politician and activist in Canada.

2) He was the most highly decorated Indigenous soldier in Canadian military history.

3) He was the most effective sniper of the First World War.

4) He is the great grandfather of one of my friends/mentors.
