We changed the way to enter the stage, and the way we do things. Seeing the chain for the first time I was surprised as I thought it would be plastic, and way lighter. Im hoping having this attached to our necks wont hurt too much, as it seems like it would push on the back of our neck. We have also added in some different lines to he outsiders and changed some of the lines for the children to say, so that everyone says their own line after billy asks what we are. I say "Foul", In the practice I said it after Meredith but they might have changed that around. Now onto the Kneeling. Dont even get me started, the kneeling hurts so much on my knees but that isnt too bad. The bad thing is having to stay upright and steady. It was so painful that at the end I felt like I was going to faint. Or atleast fall over, as I was swaying and I started to breath heavier as I was trying to stay upright. Watching it back, (Even though the audio was a bit strange on her laptop), seemed good. Although in the practice I forgot one of my lines and couldn't find it in the script. I also had a couple of mistiming for my lines, by that I mean i would wait 2 seconds before saying my line, instead of saying it perfectly afterwards.

I think it is getting better on the entrances and exits side of things. As we are making new paths / directions to move in on, and making them altogether much cleaner. I can't wait to have the costumes so we can see how these look with them on.

When offstage, something that I don't like in scene 5 is when the chairs are uneven, as this is a very busy/complex society, which is very precise on making things perfect. So I don't think they would get something like this uneven.

Now let's talk about stuff other than the performance practice. Today we started working on the badge/broaches which will be bright blue with a savior symbol in the middle. We used hot glue and circles of card to hot them in place as we twisted them into shape. We had a circle table, a savior cut out table, a hot glue table, and a savior circle cutting table. 

We also practiced some lines outside. I practiced scene 9 with Meredith, while others practiced scenes they needed to work on. We also helped Abijah get louder with her lines, as when we have to shout she is quite quieter than the rest of us and we hoping for this to blend in. We taught her a technique to become louder, and it seemed to be working quite a bit.]]> 2018-09-19 02:25:03 UTC https://padlet.com/Katie288/LiteracySnozzBerries/wish/283226664 Katie288 https://padlet.com/Katie288/LiteracySnozzBerries/wish/285835199 Wow, today we had the performance for the Senior Syndicate and I thought we did quite well, The only things annoying me was Michael placing the chair wrong, Angus not coming out in time, And Lucy not finding the bible as Frankie left it on the wrong side. Luckily Lucy improvised and used a random book. Yet other than that I was quite happy with the loudness, emotion, and timing. And It was really fun navigating our way backstage. A tricky thing was when it was pitch black and you had to get off the small side of the play as it was so dark to walk through. I ended up walking into the curtain a few times until I could find an exit.
