In Catholic teachings, I feel that there are some theology good teachers (like Mr.Tolcher ofc) but some who sometimes look down upon people of other faiths.
-Finally, the community is ONE to a level were we are connected but still individuals.
-Its HOLY because it openly and genuinely practices the Catholic faith
-It's CATHOLIC because it is open to students of different backgrounds and nationalities

Some students are outcast-ed based on how they act, what they believe in, what their political views are, what they say, and their appearance.

HOLY: "common worship, and religious activities and service projects"

The theology classes are rock solid, packed with discussion and learning. However, there is only one big religious activity that will grow our faith with God. And, many people do not take the opportunity to grow in faith with their fellow peers.

CATHOLIC:  "to create a spirit of hospitality and kindness to members of our community and visitors to our school"

We are constantly reminded by staff and other peers to talk to each other with respect and use social media correctly. Church beliefs are not always  taught and centered, but the beliefs are based on ethnicity. When Church beliefs are tied in, they are only put in to keep the idea of Catholicism.

APOSTOLIC: "the call by Christ to leads lives of leadership and service to their fellow men and women"

The school is welcome and opening-to a student coming in from a public school, it was like, wow. In public school, you had to have an acid tongue to survive...here, not so much, which is great. 
OLM is VERY diverse, which is great, but I do sometimes fear that the Catholic identity can be...diluted, somewhat, by all the religions colliding and mixing in the school. Of course, religion classes and the masses keep up the identity, but it is still question that I might raise. Sometimes I feel the teachers are a touch...hesitant...to show, fully, the Catholic view of things in the classes except Theology. I get it, you shouldn't offend people of different faith-buuut THIS is a CATHOLIC school. We shouldn't be afraid to show the Catholic viewpoint on ALL issues. And it would be absolutely fantastic if the school would offer Gregorian Rite masses-they are extremely beautiful to participate in, and incredibly educational. This is put forth by the quote, "Our Lady of Mercy strives to assist students in developing a healthy prayer life that incorporates both private and communal prayer, and an appreciation for the vitality of Catholic spirituality. It is Catholic, because it allows all kinds of people to come in. There are students who aren't catholic or christian. It is very diverse. Mercy is apostolic in a way that we learn a lot about the Bible and pray in class. It was given to us by an apostle of Christ, but they do not always give everyone the same treatment. The place is Holy. There are many items in classes such as Mary Statues, Crucifixes, etc. We have masses on Tuesdays and Thursdays and school wide masses occasionally.
