EX1: In 1921, Finland owned an island called the Åland Islands. However, the population wanted to become Swedish, as they were almost entirely Swedish-speaking. When Finland did not want to lose the islands, Sweden brought this issue to the LON and LON helped to solve the issue.
EX2: in 1921, Yugoslav troops entered Albania. The LON set up a commission to find the cause of the disagreement, and ended up ruling that Yugoslavia was the aggressor and the culprit, thus forcing Yugoslav forces to retreat from the border.
Elab: Through these actions, the League of Nations actively prevented further conflicts from arising and escalating into p o t e n t i a l war. This was possible because of the strengths of all the nations combined and the large sphere of influence that the League of Nations had.
