The BICS and CALP information - just because your student can hold a casual conversation with you, doesn't necessarily mean they understand the academic language in the lesson. 3.) There are different language register categories that we use based on the context and person with whom we are having the conversation. </div>]]></description>

I've previously heard of Piaget and Skinner, but Krasher's Theory was very interesting and more expansive than the previous theories.&nbsp;<br>3.) Having the breakdown of students who might be at an advanced level for listening, but are intermediate for reading and speaking, and beginner for reading was helpful. The majority of my students are EL's and thinking about their learning this way has been helpful! </div>]]></description>
