My digital media of choice is TikTok, which obviously, is a digital short video app for making and sharing short videos. Developed and operated by ByteDance, a Chinese artificial intelligence company. In September 2016, TikTok has been downloaded by 800 million users in over 150 countries in 2017 alone. Just swipe your finger up and down to view the previous or next video content, creating a quick visual and convenient experience. Users can post videos or photos with popular music on them. It might not be known to everyone, but ask the younger generation around you and they will be familiar with the name. The intelligent integration of video feeds and tagged content in line with popular aesthetics has created a new form of communication in this new area, and the technology is addictive as an algorithmic system automatically suggests the content of interest to you. Despite the fact that much of the content is nonsensical, it occupies a large part of modern time.

Addiction
The page ForYou suggests to users content that might interest them through an algorithm, swiping through videos prepared for you, and users become addicted and obsessed by this program. Each video is 30 seconds long and there is no limit. Even after hours of sustained viewing, it stays fresh and does not get boring. The user base is prone to endlessly browsing videos and getting lost in the virtual world, therefore wasting more time than necessary.

Mental Health
On TikTok, anyone can comment during a video. A certain number of individuals will leave critical and insulting comments under other people's videos, or post a series of videos made for the purpose of mocking them. As a result, TikTok can become a platform for cyberbullying. The targeted group can suffer psychological and mental abuse, and in serious cases, even life-threatening situations.

Insecurity
TikTok has a wide range of users and the technology can be used with just one smartphone to download the app. It is difficult to identify who is on it, the private messaging feature is unlimited and anyone can send private messages to themselves, harassment scams and product promotion are problems, all we can do is adjust the privacy settings to prevent everyone from leaving messages. If a comment above causes discomfort takes the time to report the author of the comment to TikTok, no one likes cyberbullying!

TikTok has played an influence in society as an innovative social media product, representing a new generation of young people's way of communicating culturally, with relatable content connecting a global user base. It has soared in a short period of time with a large number of downloads, with 200 million downloads in April 2020 alone, making it the most downloaded app in the world. (Keselj, 2020)

People can swipe through the content of interest without restriction, and open-ended interactive comments open up a whole new way of being connected to digital media.
The future will bring more attention to this platform, and even states and governments will cause a corresponding, massive amount of data privacy to be regulated to avoid unnecessary confusion. The information is spreading fast so more large companies will join the debate.
The algorithmic technology of the "ForYou" feature suggests content that could be of interest to users and rapidly gets the majority of people hooked on short videos.

Overall, I would like to say that I recognize the performance of this blog post and presentation but it needs more practice. I found a lot of resources on TikTok for the blog post and included interesting postings and videos in order to capture the audience's attention and explain what I was talking about more effectively. The downside is that the text is too small and the screen needs to be adjusted for easy access when reading. The content was a little boring for digital media information and the overall page was darker, highlighting the frame of the text.

In terms of presentation, on the other hand, my speech speed was too fast and the audience did not understand what I was saying, and the lack of fluency in my presentation had a negative effect on the audience. In addition, the state of the presentation is not relaxed enough, too much tension will affect the effective expression of the content. When facing the camera, more eye contact with the audience is needed to increase the sense of interaction. The above is my personal summary.
