Collective Worship Reflection – Respect | Peace

Collective Worship Focus
This week in collective worship, we have been reflecting on the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, an organisation set up in 1945 after the Second World War to help countries work together and prevent future conflicts. Today, 193 nations are members and the UN plays a vital role in areas such as peacekeeping, human rights, health, and climate change.

As we think about the importance of working together to solve global problems, we have also linked this to the Bible’s teaching on peace. The Bible reminds us that those who strive to bring peace are following God’s wishes for a more peaceful world. We have been considering what it means to be a true peacemaker - someone who works to avoid conflict and builds good relationships with others.

What a wonderfully busy week it’s been here at school! Our corridors have been full of energy and creativity, with lots of exciting learning taking place. Year 5 impressed everyone with their fantastic parent assembly on Baghdad - a real celebration of their hard work and confidence. Across the school, children have been immersed in Design Technology projects, showing brilliant teamwork and innovation.

As we reach the end of this half term, I’d like to say a huge thank you to all our staff, children and families for your continued support and enthusiasm. It’s been a productive few weeks and everyone has certainly earned a well-deserved rest.

Wishing you all a lovely, relaxing half term - enjoy the autumn colours and time with family. We look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready for more learning adventures on Monday 3rd November. 🍃🍂✨
