In this "audience reading" preformed by the famous medium John Edward he asks broad questions then hones into those affected by the tragedies the questions relate too. After finding a "victim" in the crowd he asks questions to disclose personal information about them but if the information is not relaxed to tragedies or is dead ended information he makes jokes and quickly changes subjects. Examples of this is when he asks Ann (his "victim" in the audience) about "the J in the family" and she says she has a grandson named Jacob but the after failing to connect the point he made the subject is immediately forgotten about and the conversation moves on. These red flags indicate he is just fishing for information and then rolling with that info until the subject becomes stale. The whole beginning of this video has Oprah and John talking about "energies" and how John interprets these "Energies". A common pseudoscience red-flag is Mystical Energies that are either tapped into or seen by "special" individuals that have some super or extra-human powers they all seem to exploit for money and fame. In this video of John Edward's on the Meredith Vieira Show he again displays his "fishing" routine when "reading" the crowd he asks seemingly one of go to questions which is "Someone had a brain tumor or brain aneurysm". This statement alone is an obvious probe as 1/50 people in the USA have some kind of brain aneurysm  so in a room of 200 "random" people statistically that question alone should bring in at least 4 people forward. His "fishing" technique is just to ask statistically backed up questions and then provide information that could be interpreted multiple ways.

This website is someones thoughts on John Edwards and goes into great detail tearing apart one of his internet videos. The author goes into great detail on pointing out all of the red flags he sees with great enthusiasm. The play by play nature of the writing is forceful and interesting to read. He brings up points like how John's questions are simply bases in reality and statistics and and how there's nothing physic going on at all.

Hearing John talk about his interactions with the dearly departed reminded me of something I learned about from my dads Ex girlfriend called Synesthesia. This is a condition where those affected involuntary experience with their sensory organs. This could be anything from tasting certain foods when you hear a specific name or being able to see some sounds as colored shapes or waves. Basically to me seeing that it will cost my family $1250 to have some guy tell me my deceased grandmother is watching over us still is a bit offensive. I understand that grieving is hard and dealing with death is painful but seriously to have some guy legit or not tell me granny misses me and i should look both ways before crossing the street seem like a mega scam and doesnt do anything but enrages me. The idea of heaven or hell, or simply that people turn into ghosts or spirits is some of the most common beliefs and as they might be comfortable to some individuals that believing that they still are somehow mystically connected to those who've died, the scientific facts outweigh the idea of "mystical energy's" or spirits. The human brain is believed to be able to store a minimum of 1 terabyte of data, and according to a live statistic counter at the time of writing this 53385740 people have died so far this year meaning somehow 53386(ish) petabytes of data is either been uploaded to heaven so far this hear. To maintain this state of just being stationary energy is also kinda impossible as there is literally matter everywhere which it would have to interact with, and the small feat of communication with humans. I might be wrong about all this thought but if that's true heaven has really really big servers, and a really really really big electrical bill.
