2/3 of the people couldn't vote for anything. Women couldn't vote, African American's couldn't vote, Asian American's couldn't vote, and lastly, Native American's couldn't vote either. So as you can see there is a lot of people that couldn't vote.

But now, The present, People can vote once your 18 years old but, you have to be born in that country to vote. For example, If I was a U.S. citizen, then I can't vote in Europe. Maybe some day that can change but for now it stays like this.

In the 1800's, women were only there to comfort the men after they came back from work, and do all the things around the house, like washing the clothes, cleaning, cooking, and taking care of children (and there were usually like 4-9 kids around.) They weren't allowed to go to school, or vote for president. Susan B Anthony changed that. Unfortunately, people of "color" as people called them, weren't allowed to vote either, meaning only white men were able to vote. I'm curious if there were laws against LGBTQ people voting, if anyone knows lmk please

In the past, only white men could vote. Then, there were some changes. Women could now vote. But people of "color" as they were called back then, were still not allowed to vote. AND they were segregated from white people. So then martin luther king Jr. changed that. Now, almost every body can vote. The only people in the U.S.A. that can't vote are tourists and people in U.S. territories. And people that are under 18. And felons.

Your voting rights were limited if you were a woman or a "person of color." Only white men could vote. Over time, more and more people could vote. Currently, all US citizens can vote, as long as they are at least 18. Still, even today, not everybody votes. But that's by choice. In my opinion, you are wasting your vote, because every vote counts.

Womens voting were limted or a person who is african american. Time goes on, more and more people were now able to vote and women are now able to vote, but was still challeneging for african americans to vote since there was still rasisim back then. For a short amount of time, african americans were able to vote, but then former Confederate state denied black peoples votes and weren't able to vote again. Now, in this time anyone can vote, aslong as you are or over 18.

Back then women and men of color were not able to vote in elections. Only white men were allowed to vote as long as they were over 21 and owned land. As time passed they made a law saying that men of color could vote but that didn't really help. After a while some people wanted to pass the laws that everyone could vote. So now everyone can vote!
