Women couldn't vote,  African American's couldn't vote, Asian American's couldn't vote, and lastly, Native American's couldn't vote either. So as you can see there is a lot of people that couldn't vote. 

But now, The present, People can vote once your 18 years old but, you have to be born in that country to vote. For example, If I was a U.S. citizen, then I can't vote in Europe.
