How did colonists move from loving their home country to waging war against them?

Colonists were often mistreated and hurt by the British, which led to the rebellion of the colonists. The British often hurt, disrespected, and mistreated the colonists. One of the ways the british did this is by imposing the quartering act, which is arguably the worst of them all. The quartering act was made to let British soldiers live in colonists' homes during battle, what also came with this is that the colonists had to provide transportation, beer, and fuel to the soldiers. This law immensely angered the colonists because it took away the one place they should have complete privacy and peace, their home. Another example is the proclamation of 1763 in which the land the colonists fought for was given back to the Indians. this infuriated the colonists because they lost supplies, soldiers, and dignity all for nothing. these are just some of the ways the colonists went from loving their home country to waging war against them.
