I chose this mural because it is near my house and I pass through it every day. It really gets my attention every time because of the dark colours and the dramatic frame. I also relate to this mural since my mother always has flowers in a vase at our place. However, she does it to lighten the place and make it cosier, which is the opposite of this mural.

therefore, I went to look for some information and found out that "Lḗthē", the title, is a Greek term for forgetfulness or hiding. I also learned that the author intended to raise awareness about climate change and environmental sustainability. Among the information I found, it appears that the author also used a survey of

flora in extinction in Portugal to select flowers the illustrate how humans are affecting and depleting the environment.
