1) Power comes into play because with "power" it helps him not give up and to be the idea of "undefeated"
2) The trait this character has is someone who doesn't give up even though he is pain and has been almost beaten to death who shows power.
3) I don't think it is corrupting him I think his power is making him a stronger person in the end.

1) Power does I think come into play because, Kid who is her Fiance Introduces her to bad habits and ends up changing her.
2) It is corrupting the characters because it ends up with her cutting his heart out with a knife from basically how different she is. I also think that the fact that the father neglected her corrupted her into going into making bad decisions.
3) In this story, the traits it shows is about Liz, who is more open and confident with herself though she isn't wealthy, she puts herself out to not be as "lady like" to other people. The father and mother don't really show much interest in her since she was little and, Her fiance Kid, isn't the "Loyalist" to her and wants her to change how she is.

1)Power comes into play because the husband is very controlling at first even though he is cheating on his wife. I think power also comes into play because when she finds out he's cheating on her I think power overcame and that's what made her kill her husband, I don't think she wanted to kill him since she was so surprised when he was lying on the ground.
2) I think that something is corrupting the characters from how when she killed her husband she went to the mirror to pretend to "act normal" to go to the grocery store before calling the police.
3) The traits in the story show that Mary is someone who loves her husband and the fact that he treats her wrong and has been seeing someone else made her go mad.

1) How does power come into play with this text?
Power comes into play in Macbeth, because of the role of being king and of the influence of the witches, power is used in a negative way since of all the murders that were spread in the play to be king. Power is also used a lot by Lady Macbeth since she influenced and pressured him into killing King Duncan at the beginning of the play, since Macbeth had second thoughts about killing Duncan Lady Macbeth had pressured him into it by calling him not a "real man" and at the end she finished the "deed"
2)Is it corrupting the characters?
During the play, all the "power" was corrupting most of the characters from most of them either being killed off, or running off to another country. Power also mostly corrupted Lady Macbeth and Macbeth since they were the killers.During the play Macbeth went crazy and it showed that his mental stability was unstable but, Lady Macbeth was the character that was corrupted the most because at the end of the play before she killed herself she ends up sleep walking and seeing blood which shows she was "guilt" drove her to killing herself.
3)What traits do the characters have or lack that contribute to their having power?
The traits that the characters have or lack is, the main characters who are Lady Macbeth and MacBeth. Lady MacBeth shows a lot of bossy traits at the beginning of the story since she wants her husband to be great and be the king. But she also shows more weakness ever since the murder. MacBeth shows a lot of loyalty and bravery at first but showed cowardness too.

1) How does power come into play with this text?
Power comes into play from how he was the "greatest" of the kings. Power comes into play also because of the rising/falling action he experiences. Power was used in this power in most of the poem, he mentions "sneer of cold command" which that implies that he had a greater control of power.
2)Is it corrupting the characters?
I do think that it is corrupting the characters since they had such big power that when they "fall" the power ruins them.
3)What traits do the characters have or lack that contribute to their having power?
The traits that the character shows is that he's has a lot of pride in himself since he thinks he's the "greatest" of them all.

1) How does power come into play with this text?
Power comes into play in this song/poem because it talks about him having the power in his "world" and having everything to having nothing at all, like he says in the beginning of the song "I used to rule the world" which the main point of this song was to not let power get to your head.
2)Is it corrupting the characters?
Yes I think that power corrupted him because at the end he was blaming everyone but himself for his problems and at the end he realizes that.
3)What traits do the characters have or lack that contribute to their having power?
I think the traits he has in the song is that he has a lot of selfishness but at the end it shows that he has potential to fix his mistakes and to improve himself and his actions.
