Hitler and his mustache go together better than any comparison I can possibly make, but his preferred mustache style was actually of the handlebar variety. Unfortunately for him, during WWI service he was ordered to scale it back so it would fit underneath gas masks. (Which didn’t work – he was gassed in 1918 and temporarily blinded.)

He loved Disney
The sooner we stop trying to understand Hitler, the better. However, while Disney represents kids’ films and family to us, to the dictator, it represented the advance of technology since "Snow White" boasted some pretty impressive animation circa its 1937 release. Rumor has it he also felt strongly for "King Kong" because of its special effects, and watched both that and war films repeatedly.

Nights Theme

One of the main themes of Night is Eliezer's loss of religious faith. Throughout the book, He witnesses and experiences things that he cannot recognize with the idea of God

But Eliezer's belief in God begins to simmer down at the concentration camps of Aushwitz. Here the furnaces are busy night and day burning people. He watches German soldiers throw truckloads of babies and small children into the flames. The longer he stays in the concentration camps, the more he sees and experiences suffering. People treat others horribly just for food an stuff like that. After that he just couldnt that a god of his would allow stuff like this thats when he started calling him self he accuser. The fact that many Jews do continue to pray, to recite the Talmud, and to look for comfort in their faith while in the concentration camp amazes Eliezer. That people would still pray to a God who allows their families to be gassed and incinerated suggests to Eliezer that people are stronger and more forgiving than the God they pray to. Later, as more people die, and others around him lose hope, starve, Eliezer ceases to believe that God could exist at all. He is not alone in his disillusionment. Akiba drummer (whose faith helps Eliezer endure for a while) as well as a rabbi whom Eliezer talks to, also eventually come to believe that God's existence is impossible in a world that contains such a large-scale horror. The final nail in the coffin, for Eliezer's faith, comes at Buna, where the prisoners are gathered to watch the hanging of a young boy. A man in the crowd asks, "Where is God now?" Eliezer's internal response is that God is that boy on the gallows. The boy dies slowly as the prisoners are forced to watch. which was when he really changed to me

The first internal conflict Elie faced was a small one but it was still a conflict. When Moishe the Beadle escaped and returned to Sighet, no one believed his story. It seemed too harsh and they thought no one would ever do that. Elie didn't know if he should believe Moishe because at one point he had been his mentor so he didn't think he could lie, but in the end he ended up not believing Moshe.

Well i think the most obvious External conflict is the struggle for him to survive. people were hunting him down an persecuting his kind just because of their race. because of hat its a struggle to survive for him the amount of bread an the way people would fight over potatoes peels. during the whole holocaust it as a real grind for eliezer
