         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thomas Jefferson grew up roaming the woods and studying his books in an empty farmland in Virginia. in his childhood, Jefferson went to a boarding school. Jefferson later went to William and mary college later in his life when he got out of college he was one of the most brightest legal minds alive at that time. Jefferson was shy in person put his pen was mighty powerful. Jefferson highly promoted religious freedom. by 1774, Jefferson was highly active in organizing opposition to British rule. and in 1776 was i the second contintial congress.&nbsp;he was later selected to write the decelearation of independence he did an exelet job. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>the colonist were protected by the British government. the colonist had many threats like the American&nbsp;Indians or mabey even a different country. the British thought they came up with a smart idea when they decided to tax the colises for the soldiers. a lot of laws were passed during the couple of years, the Boston massacre played a huge part in the revolution.&nbsp;it kind of put fear in the colonists hearts. some of the tax laws that were passed were the stamp act, the quarter act, the Townshend act, the tea act and there were many more. the tea act kind of created a monopoly in the tea industry.&nbsp;so on the sons of liberty dumped the tea in the Boston harbor this got the British government&nbsp;mad so they passed the intolerable acts. this started the American revolution. the battle of Lexington was the first battle between the Americans and the British. there was also another were important battle called the battle of the bunker hills. in 1776 America was finally free and Thomas Jefferson wrote the declaration of independence </div>]]></description>
