The biggest of these efforts has been finding and connecting with expecting persons to support as birth and/or postpartum doulas. Obtaining the required experience for DONA Certification has been difficult for us through the COVID-19 Pandemic and hospital policies and limitations. We also found that it was a bit harder to pursue community and group activities.
