This was taken out my kitchen window a couple of weeks ago. Last summer I dug up my little garden and planted native wildflowers to support birds, bees, butterflies, insects... I was thrilled to see the hummingbirds feeding at the cardinal flowers, which just bloomed this year. As for the garden, it's has become monstrous. Sometimes we can have too much "success"!!

This was at a farmers market in Markham that I went to over the weekend. I adore walking around at the market and admiring everyone's baked goods, fresh fruits and veggies, and of course the beautiful bouquets.

This is a photo of my garden courtyard. Because of the pleasant weather (and good wifi connection), I have been able to do my readings and school work outside. It is lovely!! We have a pond and lots of birds and wildlife that stop by. Hoping this weather stays a bit longer!

This is outside of the public library in Kemptville. Although I prefer to work in my home office, the public library is a warm and welcoming environment that many people frequent throughout the year. The water is fairly shallow in this part of the Kemptville creek, and the likelihood of you seeing a sunbathing turtle is high! I love living in a small town.

I'm from Burlington, ON. I took this photo last week at the uOttawa when I was helping my partner move in. He studies electrical engineering at uOttawa. I plan to visit the campus a few times this school year. I love to go for long walks along the canal while I'm here, especially in the fall. The colours are beautiful!

I live in Foshan in the middle of a large community of apartment buildings - not very interesting to look at. This photo was taken at West Lake in Hangzhou, from a trip my husband and I took in May 2021. It is one of my favourite places in the country and when I study I like to imagine myself sitting on a bench at the edge of the lake overlooking the scenery.

Here is the high school in Quebec City that I teach at: it is one of three English high schools of about 1,200 combined between the three of them. While the schools are very old and outdated, a lot of history is behind these walls. In about five years, a new "super" high school will be built, amalgamating the three buildings and people into one entity.
