In our labs there are many lessons that
include  learning to think, reason and problem solve in a way that brings out their unique qualities and works best for them. 
I felt the most important job was to teach them to learn and problem solve in a way that works best for them. My teaching practices most closely align with cognitive process and self actualization.

There is a little bit of social reconstructionism in the mix with the goal of teaching students to become good citizens who take care of the world.

This along with the input of my parents who where both teachers has taken me the farthest and taught me the most. 
The most memorable and the one I still use today is “The 3 F’s” Firm, Fare, and Forget.
