         <description><![CDATA[<div>They entered the first world war with the largest army in the world, standing at 1,400,000 soldiers. <br><br>The Russians were able to reform their own government after their bloody civil war. <br><br>Even with the massive numbers, Russia had a poor roads and railways. This made travel harder and thus using soldiers to full efficiency was harder.<br><br>In 1914, Russia considered Germany a threat and since Germany joined the triple alliance, the fear increased.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Russia could not really worry about anyting with the Treaty of Versailles, therefore proving that they did not need to participate if they did start to bicker again. They could simply say, "We were not apart of that." And referring back to the topic of how they got out of the war earlier, they did not lose as much as they entered the war with several soldiers and went out to keep the remaining soldiers, further building up their army for the next war and conflict. They still could make sure that they had resources to save up and they technically should have withdrawn early, and it was definitely a good strategy to do. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>WWI had effect civilians in Russia, by the lack of food going to the urban areas. This was caused by the fact that food was almost worthless and so farmers were hoarding it instead of distributing it. It also effected the civilians because of those families with a husband or a brother or sons in the war most likely lost them in the war. This caused women to become the primary caretaker of the family.<br><br>The generation that had fought was considered the "Lost Generation" because they never truly recovered from the trauma of the war. Some people reacted from the war by creating the League of nations. There was an increase of people supporting Pacifism, which was the plea for peace.</div>]]></description>
