This test on heart rate and exercise examines the relationship between arm+ leg muscle movements on heart rate. Important ideas to know are how the muscular, respiratory, and circulatory systems interact;heart rate, and pulse;and cellular respiration. I also Have observed That when I exercised my pulse is higher than my resting heart rate, because when I exercised I needed more oxygen for cellular respiration to make ATP.The details found in this test will support the importance of the three systems interacting and the need for oxygen for the mitochondria to it make ATP.
The circulatory system and the respiratory system work together because the respiratory system brings air into your body and the circulatory system pumps the oxygenated blood throughout your body.Cellular respiration happens when the mitochondria uses O2 and sugar to make energy(ATP) for the cell.Cellular respiration occurs in the cells mitochondria. When the mitochondria uses O2 for cellular respiration the O2 turns into Co2 and energy. The heart and the RBC's contribute to this process because the heart pumps the oxygenated blood cells to other cells. Then when the cells use the oxygen to make energy and Co2 the red blood cells take the Co2 back to the heart which pumps them to the lungs so we can breath out the Co2.
The circulatory and the respiratory system help our muscles move because the circulatory pumps oxygenated blood that comes from the lungs in the respiratory system to all of our muscles in the body so they can move because of the mitochondria in the cells of the muscle, which makes the muscle energy. The leg muscles are bigger than your arm muscles, because of this, the leg muscles have more mass.Your leg muscles are located in your leg(of course) and your arm muscles are in your arm(again, of course they are).Your leg muscles are bigger than your arm muscles so they probably have more cells.
If a muscle is bigger than another one then it requires more energy depending on the activity same is true if the muscle has more cells.Exercise makes us need more oxygen because it makes more muscles work, therefore you will need more oxygen.Exercise increases the amount of carbon dioxide produced by cells. That carbon dioxide produced by cells is then taken to the lungs and released from the lungs when you breath out.
My heart rate is usually around 84 Bpm.But my heart rate goes up when i play video games and when i walk or do exercises. One time my heart rate increased when i went on the ferris wheel because im scared of heights and i was high up.Another time my heart rate increased was when i was playing soccer and we won.

In this experiment we tested heart rate with exercises.I did Windmills and Squats for 1 minute each and got my Bpm to see what exercise made my heart rate the highest. My control in this experiment was my resting Bpm.Our first variable (Variable 1) was Windmills (Arm exercise).Variable 2 in this experiment was Squats (Leg exercise).I have learned that the windmills exercise does not make my heart rate go up as high as the squat exercise.
My hypothesis was,"If windmills and squats are completed to see which will increase heart rate more, then i think squats will make my heart rate increase more because the muscles in my leg are bigger than the muscles in my arm therefor they would need more oxygen for cellular respiration."My hypothesis was correct because the squats exercise made my heart rate higher than the windmills exercise. The average Bpm for my exercises is shown below:
Resting Bpm avg: 85 Bpm
Windmill Bpm avg: 92 Bpm
Squats Bpm avg: 116 Bpm
I did not notice any patterns in my testing. These results are very important because they show us that squats raise your heart rate more than windmills, and that is what i have discovered.A possible source of error would be how fast i did each exercise. An error in my test was when i hit the table that was near me when i did then windmill exercise which probably raised my heart rate a little bit.Understanding error is important because, then you will know what you have to fix the next time you do the test.
If I do windmills and squats the different muscle groups will change my heart rate no matter what.My evidence is that when I did my exercises my heart rate changed to be higher than my resting heart rate which means if i do windmills and squats the different muscle groups change my heart rate because they make me breath more often.Which then would mean that my heart would have to pump the air around my body faster for my body to use.So my heart would pump faster which raises my heart rate. The connection between the circulatory, respiratory and muscular systems are significant because, they are very complex and they help you do a lot of things like, stay alive, move around, pump blood around your body.If you didn't have these things you would die, that is why these systems are very important.
