Star Wars: Battlefront II: Inferno Squad

Star Wars: Battlefront II: Inferno Squad is about a squad of imperial special forces who go undercover to eliminate a small band of rebel extremists. While being very close to these rebels they could have sympathized with them and on the empire that they love so much. This is not the case and they end up killing all of them. Through all of it, they are loyal to the empire and its goals as a government. I may not be loyal to the goal of a galaxy-wide empire, I am, however, loyal to my own goals and try my best to see them through. This allows me to work toward something and not just work for the sake of working. One of my goals was to be accepted and be able to throw for Lafayette College and by staying loyal to it, I was able to achieve that goal this year. If I was not loyal to that goal I probably wouldn't have achieved it.

The Office

In The Office, there is the love story of Jim and Pam. Throughout the show, Jim tries to win over Pam and eventually does. He cares a lot about Pam and wanting to go out with her which is why he is so persistent. It's not just about the comedy in the show and the relationship between Jim and Pam but about how you need to be persistent with the people and things you care about. This ties in with doing what you want but this is staying consistent with t doing the things you like. For instance, I like going to the gym but I have to get there and it can be hard to go after an 8-hour workday. However, I went anyway because if I am not persistent with that especially when I care about it, I will slowly lose all of the progress I have made. In the same sense if Jim either stopped going after Pam or did not show as much of an interest over time he wouldn't have been able to date her. I can relate the same to my goals if I am not persistent in trying to achieve them, then what is the point of having them.

'I Can't Go For That (No Can Do'

I can't go for that sounds like it is about a guy being able to do anything for his girl but some things cross the line and he can't do some of those things. It is actually about the record companies wanting hall and oats to change up their music. This song is one of my favorite songs and expresses about how I feel when it comes to decisions and change. I believe that you should stay true to yourself and your values. Just because someone says to change doesn’t mean you have to. You shouldn’t just do something because someone tells you to, you should make your own decisions about your life. Even if it comes down to choosing what you want for dinner. If you are constantly being told what to do and not making the decisions you want then you will never be able to make decisions that you want to.

Meaning: http://ultimateclassicrock.com/hall-oates-song-meaning/

Fallout 4

In Fallout 4 you are thrown into a nuclear wasteland searching for your lost son. Along the way, there are many dialogues options and just general actions that change the way people in the world view you and who you can become friends or enemies with. One thing that I took away from this game was to make your own decisions, decide you who become but most importantly be able to deal with your own consequences. In the game instead of becoming friends with someone, you could become enemies and then you have to deal with being enemies with them. It allows you to decide who you want to become. Do you want to stay a part of a rising militia or join a team of scientist who people are afraid? The game doesn’t constrict you to just one choice or path, it allows you to explore everything; that is what life is. It is not just one path it is many different paths with many different choices and with those choices come consequence whether positive or negative.
