Margot got bullied because of this, and was put in a closet by the other student when the sun was about to come out. It was very rare for the sun to come out in Venus, because it only comes out for 2 hours every 7 years. After the sun set and the rain that would continue for the next 7 years began, the children then finally realised that they forgot that Margot was in the closet. They released her, and was ashamed of their actions.

I really don't like this story since there are lots of mean and unequal events. For example, the bullies lock Margot in a closet, thinking that her view of the sun is wrong and she doesn't deserve to look at the sun rise up. Think about it, how would Margot feel? She hasn't seen the sun for 5 years, and she has been waiting for this moment forever. She would feel sad, and depressed. Even though this story is a really good example of a descriptive story with all of the excellent writing techniques, I still don't like stories that include negative behavior.

I really liked the story with its colloquialism and dialogue paired with repetition, imagery, analogies and exaggeration. The story encapsulated the placid stillness of the rain and the iridescence and incandescence of the sun. This story to me show that people have different opportunities in life, with higher ups controlling them they become washed out in the rain, even if they have a little hope in humanity and seeing the sunlight. Its all delusional and they get washed out eventually.

I liked this story as it showed how Margot differed from the other children, having her come from Earth and understand the feeling of the sun unlike the other children. She feels like an outcast and although she had and perhaps will have a better experience than the others, this causes jealousy among the other children who give her a hard time. I think that the children locking up Margot right before the sun comes out for the first time in seven years was very cruel, yet they only come to an understanding of what they did when they lost the experience. However, I did not like that the author placed a cliffhanger of letting Margot out without showing her reaction or actions.
