         <title>Cooperative Learning Strategies in Secondary Math</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>1. Co-op</strong><br>This strategy is focused on students teaching their peers. For this strategy each student studies a specific topic and then students take turns, in their groups, teaching their topic to their peers.<br><em>Example:</em><br>Students each taking a section of a chapter and teaching their section to their peers. <br><strong>2. Group Problem-Based Learning<br></strong>This is a strategy I have had a lot of experience with throughout my math classes at CMU. This strategy is focused on inductive learning and students working together to explore and discover the topic.<br><em>Example</em>:&nbsp;<br>Students, in groups, working together to discover the Triangle Inequality Theorem.</div>]]></description>

Cooperative Learning</strong><br>Having student work together can help gifted students lift up their peers and keep them involved by assisting other students and collaborating with them.<br><em>Example: Problem-Based Learning</em><br>Gifted students may be faster at the exploration and can help their peers with their exploration. <br><strong>2. Audio Recordings<br></strong>Audio recordings can help the lesson appeal gifted and struggling students. By giving the student a way to gain information at their own pace, they can learn the information in a way the is more suitable for them.<br><em>Example:</em><br>A gifted student could return an audio recording with more complex examples than their peers.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
