It connects me to information about education without giving me the feeling of overload. There truly is a shift in how professional development is done when we begin to utilize these tools. I no longer need to attend long workshops, but I can learn information at my own pace online.

I can learn from my peers, and also collaborate with them for the benefit of my classroom. There is a potential for guest speakers by making contacts through my PLN, even if we have them by satellite.

This is a chance for personal enrichment, and to learn about the culture of others. As a teacher, I will be able to become more culturally responsive by engaging in meaningful conversations with my peers who see the world differently. I will learn more about my students who share the culture of PLN contacts, and will be able to educate my class in general.
