She was a daughter of a journalist and wanted to become one like her father so she began writing in her diary when she was 13

In 1943, Senesh joined the British Army and volunteered to be parachuted into Europe. The purpose of this mission was to help in Europe and get in contact with partisan resistance fighters in an attempt to help trapped Jewish communities. Senesh trained in Egypt and was one of the thirty-three people chosen to parachute behind enemy lines.
