I would set up this activity for toddlers by having the concentrated paint and water mixed up, paint brushes and paint jackets ready to use and set up at our painting station. I would place the children 1 by 1 at the table and put their jackets on, then once all the children are sitting at the table, I would hand them the paint brushes and I would show them how to paint with the water paint.

The benefits a three year old would get from participating in this art activity are learning hand-eye coordination, learning the different colours, and fostering creativity.

-Lisa

For this project I would explain to the kids what we’ll be doing for today’s activities, explain to them on how to do it. Put garbage bags around table and put on protection so they don’t put paint on themselves, set up the paint and hand it to them to get started.

Benefits: Learning to colour nicely, memorizing and setting skills for the 3 year olds. Having patience to get it done.

Hattie aningaat

Robin Iqqaat

I would set up the daycare tables into groups, depending on how many children are present and start by showing them what they’re going to be making. Advise the children not to touch any of the supplies yet that I prepared and are already at the table while I’m giving clear instructions on what they need to do. The benefits they are getting are learning the primary colours and have a lot of fun painting! :)
