Ever since I was a young girl, my
mom and dad have always made
me aware of the injustices that
women and other minority
groups have faced. A big one we
would discuss a lot is abortion. I
was taught (and still think to this
day) that abortion and other
health care needs should never
be a political debate. It should
NEVER be up for discussion
because a woman has the right
to choose what they do to their
body. I would also like to speak
out as a victim of sexual assault,
I got assaulted on July 27th, 2021
and if I had gotten pregnant by
my assaulter and abortion weren't
legal, I would definitely not be
going to college and pursuing my
dream. It saddens me that this is
still up to debate. I am genuinely
worried for the future of our
country.

A males perspective on Roe vs Wade

I feel as if a man is able to walk away from
having a child a woman should also have a
way out. In many cases, it is best to have
abortions not only if the person is too young
but also if the person is not financially stable.
It also doesn't make sense how you have to go
through such a long process to be able to
adopt but they want to force young women
who don't meet the qualifications as those
who want to adopt kids. If you can't grow a
fetus you should not have an opinion on this
topic!!!

When I was watching the news I saw that a few women were wearing red to tie the story to real life, the symbol that it shows was so powerful to people that this one book had a huge impact on women around the world because it says we are strong and we deserve to be in charge of our own menstrual cycle. We should not have to get approved for birth control or "not be allowed" to get an abortion. How can a women who gets raped and has an abortion get more prison time than the own man who raped her what does that say about us? What basic human rights will be taken away next?

I wanted to look into it , I found that there are still some places in the world where while women might be "allowed" to vote if they tried to they would be punished or jailed for wanting to have an opinion. I hope that people can see what would happen if Roe vs Wade gets overturned, I put two people perspectives while they were different I think that both share lots of value. I don't think the world should be black and white I think men and women should be looked at the same, it should not matter what you have under your clothes you should have the same rights and should be paid the same as a male would be. I was shocked to find that some of the women who wanted Roe vs Wade to be overturned were in fact women, I tried to fathom why women would want to take away their own rights? Do they not want the rights to their own body?
