A Clarkston Scholar is a highly-driven, first-generation college student who excels in the classroom, has an interest in consulting or the industries Clarkston serves, and has demonstrated financial need. The Clarkston Scholars Program will provide one sophomore attending a four-year college/university undergraduate program at a qualifying school a $10,000 scholarship award ($5,000 per year for junior and senior year). The Clarkston Scholars Program is more than just a monetary award; it is designed to combine the financial rewards of a scholarship with the mentoring and networking opportunities available through our diverse steward and client network. The Clarkston Scholar will participate in a mentorship program with Clarkston stewards to gain exposure to the professional world and help refine their strengths and interests.

Unfortunately, college is often not accessible to students with disabilities. With disabled students making up 14% of public school students, with a total of around 7 million, it’s critical that this group has more support, so they’re able to pursue their dreams of higher education.

This scholarship seeks to support students with a diagnosis of developmental or intellectual disabilities so they can pursue higher education.

Any high school senior who has a diagnosis of developmental or intellectual disability may apply for this scholarship, but students in Oregon will be preferred.

To apply, provide a well-thought-out response to the three questions outlined in the essay prompt.

Applicants must attend a college or trade school with a plan to enter into a field related to agriculture (for example: Ag Business, Animal Husbandry, Diesel Engine Repair, Welding)

• High school seniors attending public or private schools in Loveland, Berthoud, Johnstown, and Estes Park are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

• This application requires some short responses and a PDF of your unofficial transcript as well as an optional letter of recommendation -If you close your browser, your responses will not be saved so you may want to have all materials ready and submit in one sitting. 

• Scholarships range from $500 - $1500 and must be paid to the student's college or university via the registrar's office.  Scholarship recipients will be given information on this process upon award.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE AIMS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD, YOU MUST HAVE SUBMITTED AN APPLICATION TO ATTEND AIMS AS A COLLEGE STUDENT.  AIMS DOES NOT REQUIRE THAT YOU CONFIRM AN ADMISSIONS OFFER.  IF YOU ARE ENROLLED AT AIMS as a concurrent enrollment (OR dual enrollment) student while in high school, REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST submit an application to AIMS prior to April 15, 2026 for entry in the FA2026 term as an entering COLLEGE student to be eligible for the award.  

The scholarship application submission deadline is April 15, 2026 at 9 AM MDT, however, Colorado Knowledge Bowl MAY, at its sole discretion, extend the submission deadline.

The Horatio Alger Association’s Career & Technical Scholarship is designed for individuals who have faced and overcome significant adversity and are working toward a career or technical education certificate or degree. This need-based award recognizes those who demonstrate integrity, perseverance, and a strong commitment to building a successful future through career-focused training.

Eligible individuals with financial need who are enrolled, or plan to enroll, in a career or technical program at a not-for-profit institution should consider applying. Each year, the Association awards scholarships of up to $2,500 to support tuition, tools, supplies, and other program-related expenses.
