The change of temperatures also changed the available food sources. Agricultural systems could not be developed because the ground was muddy and could not be used to grow food, so they resorted to hunting and gathering. Also, all the native groups began to spread across the region of North America, and began to live in smaller groups. These groups had their own food sources and tools depending on the region they lived in, but these food sources mostly came from hunting.
