The second of the three witches utters this quote moments before they are visited by Macbeth, who is seeking reassurance for his stolen and bloody throne. The context of the scene, and the nature of the quote, created a very evil and dark connotation. The song "Wicked Game", sung by James Vincent McMorrow, heavily relates to the plot of Macbeth, and the infamous Second witch's line "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes". The witches have shaped Macbeth into their very own wicked creature, and are ecstatic when he comes to see them voluntarily and for help. The witches refer to Macbeth as the "wicked" thing that is coming when the witch feels a tingling in her fingers, which relates to the song on the lines "What a wicked game you played to make me feel this way, What a wicked thing to do to let me dream of you". Macbeth has now become dependent on the witches for advice and for reassurance of his invulnerability, and they have thus played a wicked game with him and shaped him into a sinister tyrant. The line of the song "It's strange what desire will make foolish people do..." relates to Macbeth's continual visits and dependence on the witches. The United States and North Korea have been neck to neck for some time now as North Korea refuses to end nuclear weapon testing, and the United States worries that with radical leadership and nuclear weapons there will be much tragedy. However, President Trump does not approach the situation delicately, and rather makes very strong comments such as , "Do not underestimate us. Do not try us.", that might lead to enraging North Korea. The article writes that, "...Park added that he was hoping to hear more about improving communication between South Korea and the US, saying he was worried about the US acting unilaterally in dealing with North Korea." Many people are worried that if Trump continues to make strong threats and insults against North Korea, the United States would be looking at Nuclear War. However, this decision creates friction with the Girl Scout organization, which believes that, "...only Girl Scouts has the expertise to give girls and young women the tools they need for success,". The tension between the two, both very influential, organizations can and may lead to something that will result with both parties upset in the end. This dilemma relates to the quote in that the bad blood between the two organizations, as both have a "pricking in [their] thumbs", or a premonition, that "something wicked" is coming. This is significant to the scheme of the plot because it shows that Macbeth has truly given into the darkness and the evil and has accepted his nature and his fate. This quote is also important because it shows how much influence the witches have over Macbeth and how they have manipulated him to provoke him to commit wrong.
