While doing many experiments he found out everything is made up of atoms. He made the discovery in 1803. He discovered a few things . He discovered different atoms have different masses , atoms can not  be created or destroyed, All atoms of given elements are alike, etc.. At 12 years of age he became a teacher then went back to school. He conducted many experiments such as the one of gas particles and color blindness.
