The CPR( Canadian Pacific Railroad) was a railroad that conected the two coasts of Canada and was built in February 16, 1881. John A Mcdonald was the founder of the railroad and wanted to connect the east provinces to the Pacific Ocean and to mark Canada's land. The CPR helped with getting resources across Canada like fish from the Pacific ocean and grains from the Prairies and to unify the country's people.

The CPR helped bring the people of Canada together by the train also providing traveling for people from the east coast to meet the people from the Pacific coast. It was also very useful for transporting farm animals and resources. Also it connected the two coasts of Canada which helped connect the people of Canada.

The French expansion started when the magor European country's were in a race to claim as much land in North and South america. France started to colonize in Newfounland and Labador. The French ended their expanded in the sourthern states like Texas and Louisiana. They fought against powers like the British and Spainish.The way the French expansion helped shaped is it was one of the first contact of the first nation people of Canada with Europeans. The way it helped develop Canada was with French people settling in Canada that's why are second language is French.

Urbanization helped shape Canada by helping develop new major city's to help population growth. With the Cpr being built people started to build little town around the railroad that eventually turned into magor city's that helped develop Canada. Urbanization helped build Canada by making big moves to help the resources move to major and small city around Canada. But there was one major thing that wasn't right about urbanization is that when the city's grew it forced indigenous people out of their home and to move to worst areas with less resources and water.

Western expantion

The Western expansion was ran by the goverment to influence people to move to the inhabited parts of the Praries. The way the Western expansion helped Canada, was it got people to move to the resource rich land of the Praries. Canada's goverment put up poster all over the world to influence people to move to these rich lands to farm the resources like wheat and corn. The Western expansion started by the U.S.A border to Canada to mark Canada's land and stop American invaders. The way it helped Canada develop was it helped get resources for people in need and to stop Americans from taking their land.

Atlantic Canada

Atlantic Canada is a very important to Canada by having some of the best fishing in Canada. All of the provinces in Atlantic Canada are Newfoundland and Labadour, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick. All of the Atlantic Canada is has a coast line connected to the Atlantic Ocean. Atlantic Canada was where the first French settelers in Canada on a small island called Île Sainte-Croix near present day Maine in 1608. This region is very important to Canada's fishing industry due to all of the provinces being connected to the Atlantic Ocean which is known for having beast of fish like salmon and Atlantic herring.
