I am currently reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl books by Matt Dinniman and The Running Man by Stephen King (one audio and one hard copy). If you like fantasy I highly recommend anything by Brandon Sanderson. My current to be read list is too huge to share as thrift store hoping to book hunt is a favorite family pastime in my house.

I'm about halfway through The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson. It's historical fiction about Cussy Mary, a Packhorse Librarian in Kentucky, during the Great Depression. These women went through hell and high water to deliver books to Appalachian people who might not have had access otherwise.

Currently on my bedside table:

The Comfort of Crows: A Backyard Year by Margaret Renkl

A lovely book to read when you only have a few minutes; it’s arranged week by week, like a journal or a companion through the seasons. Renkl notices the small environmental changes in her backyard - the plants, the animals, the shifting patterns - and connects them to aging, society, and the ways humans shape nature’s cycles. Simple, yet beautifully written, it feels like a quiet reflection on time and change.

I usually have books scattered all over the house - I’m definitely a bibliophile.

A few years ago, I started listening to Jennie Blonde’s Comfy Cozy Witch podcast and became enchanted by her soft, welcoming approach to weaving magic and ritual into everyday life. Since then, I’ve collected her children’s picture book Song of the Elements (signed!), The Comfy Cozy Witch’s Guide to Making Magic in Your Everyday Life, and just received my pre-order of the Comfy Cozy Witch Oracle Deck - complete with a signed bookplate.

And another reason I love her… she used to be an English teacher!
