It gives the teachers more of an opportunity to circulate, especially during instruction. All students needs are met and each student has the opportunity to get a 1:1 check in or small group checking. So managing the needs of students becomes more efficient. 

The benefit is to have someone to reflect on the class/lessons with to improve practice l. Two minds are better than one. 

2. The most daunting part could be then imbalance of planning, teaching, modifying and grading all falling on one teacher. Not a team effort.

Co-teaching allows us to reach students and families on a more regular and individual basis. Having an expert in regards to IEPs and ELL needs ensures that the instruction is as accessible for students as possible. It is great to have another teacher leading a portion of the lesson while the other teacher circulates. it is great to have a colleague to bounce ideas off of and to address all aspects of the classroom together. 
2.
