In schools like the one i attend to, practical subjects are also taught in addition to general subjects and theoretical subjects. 

My hobbies are watching TV series,  movies, anime and reading novels, webtoons and manga's. Also editing videos every now and then. 

My favorite food is pom and pastei and macaroni too. Unfortunately i dont know how to say pom and pastei in english but if you search it up on google you'll see that it is absolutely delicious!

I participated in this program mostly to gain knowledge of the other countries and their cultures outside of my own and improve my social skills and as a leader too. 

What im looking forward to? Nothing really. Ever since I heard of this program I knew it was great, so I'll accept anything they teach me.

I live in Trinidad, specifically in the Central area, and I currently attend St.Joseph’s Convent St.Joseph. I am in form four studying sciences and French as my language. I always wanted to be a doctor or surgeon as my career path but now that I am older and exposed to many different fields sometimes I question myself if I still want to be a doctor or surgeon. However, what I do know is that I would love to work in the field of sciences, whether it’s doctoring or maybe engineering. I spend most of my free time with my parents and two younger siblings, we watch movies and play some sports, recently we have been playing lots of Super Mario. Other than hanging with my family, I like to paint. I love painting landscapes and scenery in my free and personal time, it’s something peaceful that I enjoy. My favorite meal is soup, I am not the biggest fan of fish but for some reason I love fish broth, the flavor is just different from other soups, especially when my mom makes it and I also like pasta. The reason as to why I am taking part in this program could go on and on. When I saw the program focusing on global affairs and leadership I immediately became interested because so much goes on in our country that we are not aware of, much more what is going on in other countries. I see this program enhancing myself as an individual, student and as a youth in my community in ways that I can use in the future and in my community. I also see this program as a opportunity towards other opportunities. I look forward to gaining as much knowledge about the Caribbean and Chicago. Learning new things about the countries, such as their practices, cultures, foods, what they consider normal and what their everyday life is like.

I am 18 years old and I am from the twin island state known as Antigua and Barbuda.

I attend the Antigua State College.

The hobbies that I enjoy doing are singing, writing poems, traveling and reading various genres of books.

Some of my favorite foods would include ground provision and oxtail, chicken curry and white rice and bullfoot soup. 

I chose to participate in this program to help me overcome my fears in being shy and just be comfortable in being outspoken and engaging to speak about ideas with others without being scared. Also, to learn about new skills that would be beneficial for the future.
