The Roman people rarely went out at night. Some streets were so dangerous that they were closed at night. They also adopted gods from other cultures to create their own group of gods. Which is not that different  from today now people are always converting to other religions and worshipping other gods and they learned about it from other people like the Romans learned about they're gods from the Greeks. But in the wealthier families the men had a well paid political position.
Women ran the household while the men were at work. In modern day family life the families aren't ruled by paterfamilias. In modern day the man and the woman could be working or the woman could be working and the man can run the household.

The poor people ate many plain meals such as chunks of fish with asparagus. The rich ate mice cooked in honey , roasted parrot,and many other advanced things. These days we eat chicken, hot dogs, Chipotle, Starbucks, and burgers. What you doesn't matter if your poor or wealthy if you can afford it you can eat it.We have pop, lemonade, and water.
