Cement is the main construction material for the building and crystallography control the workability, the setting times and the final strength of the concrete. Crystallography also determined the quality of the structures. Besides that, by understanding the importance of crystallography we can lower the emission of carbon dioxide. Other than that, it also can increase the profitability of the mining activities as less waste is created. Crystallography is importance as it will prevent propagation in metal that will cause failure or so called metal fatigue. It is importance in our daily lives because it can create long lasting, safe, smaller and more powerful technologies. In pharmaceuticals, crystallography is essential for the development and production of safe medicines because by knowing crystallography we can check the authenticity of the drug. Moreover, crystallography also importance for feeding our grown population as it can improving the yield of agriculture and help to optimize the fertilizer for the crops which are to be grown. For the water consumption, crystallography can help to understand the membranes and filters for building desalination plants with reduced power consumption. These can help to produce more clean water that can be used in our daily lives. Last but not least, crystallography is importance in our daily lives because it contribute in the food substance by adding the taste in the food and creating many great and tasteful food such as chocolate.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Crystallography is important in our life because by understanding crystallography, human able to determine the strength of one material. A better quality can be used for construction. Futhermore, materials which is more environmental friendly will be produced by understanding the crystallography of the materials. For example, the production of cement will produce large amount of carbon dioxide. This problem can be solved by understanding the crystallography of the cement structure and the carbon dioxide emission can be reduced. Iron ore has been use widely in our daily life, but before introducing of crystallography method, people only use color to differentiate the different type of iron ore. Nowadays, crystallography can only help to increase the profit but can reduce waste produced during mining the iron ore. In addition, crystallography give us a better understanding for crystal deformation. Metal fatigue can be prevented during designing a machine therefore better design and quality of machine can be produced. By understanding the crystallography,energy efficiency can be increased although the component that produced is in tiny size. Suitable material will be chosen in order to manufacture a better quality of product. Health and pharmaceutical area also will use crystallography in order produce high quality of medicine. Moreover, authenticity of drug can be checked by using this method as we know the problem of drug counterfeiting of pharmaceutical is getting serious nowadays. to optimize the fertilizer for crops, we can use crystallography method so that  better crops can be grown. Desalination plants had been built anywhere but by understanding the crystallography we can reduce the power consumption. Crystallography also can be used in food area. Better cement can be made by understanding crystallography as making cement emit carbon dioxide. So, by making cement with less clinker and using alternative fuels can lower carbon dioxide emission. Next, the starting point of iron is the iron ore. Visual grade control is used to classified the ore body as low grade or high grad e by comparing the colour of ore body. Therefore, the quality of ore are more constant and it will increase mining activities as less waste is created and it reduce damage to environment. Moreover, another importance aspect of crystallography is the understanding of crystal deformation. Crystallography reduces the chance of metal fatigue. For example, shock painting are added on top surface of metal to overcome the problem. It is essential for making safe and long-lasting machines. Understanding crystallography make us created micro-electronic devices. For example, computers and cell phone have become essential in daily life. Crystallography determines the functioning of many of their components like screen backlights and batteries. Most pharmaceuticals are crystallography substances. The X-ray diffractometer can be used to investigate the crystallographic properties. One of the importance of crystallography in our daily life is that it can improve the quality of cement. The crystallographic properties in cement determines the workability, setting time and final strength of concrete. With the understanding of crystallographic properties of cement, the emission of carbon dioxide during the production of cement can be reduced by producing cement with less clinker and also using alternative fuels to heat kiln. Besides, finer credit classification of ore body can be made by determining the crystallographic properties of ore whereas by using visual inspection, only two grades of ore can be classified. This guarantees the consistency of the quality of iron ore, while increasing the profitability of mining activities as less wastes is created. Furthermore, crystallography enables us to understand the crystal deformation of metals in machines. The mechanical properties of metals can be improved, encouraging the production of secured machines which can last for a long time. Moreover, the crystallographic properties determines the function of components in cell phones and computers, such as the screen backlight and batteries. Crystallography also contributes in developing and producing safe medicines. This is because most of the pharmaceuticals are crystallographic substances. Safe and effective pharmaceuticals can be produced by using the knowledge of crystallography. This really make crystallography a significant process in any development of different branches of studies, agricultural and other things that exist in our world.There is a lot of importance of crystallography that can be found in our daily lives without us realising it. One of them is cement that have being as a main construction material building. Quality of structure is determined by crystallographic phase changes during cement hardening process. This is because cement is made by heating limestone and raw materials.Hence,controlling workability,setting time and final strength of concrete determined by crystallographic properties. Next, iron which is ore that have been dug from ground in mines.  Crystallographic helps a lot in quality of ore been determined. It make much finer credit classification of the ore body that can be made,more constant in quality ,increases profitability of mining as less waste created and reduces damage to the environment. Besides, making an improvement towards mechanical components of jet airplanes. This can be clearly seen from windows of airplane which reduces in metal fatigue. Understanding of crystal deformation makes us that oval window suitable for airplane usage as we knew that deliberate generation of compressive stress in surface of metallic component. This caused micro cracks to stay closed and thus reducing chance of metal fatigue.<br>Crystallographic also making safe and long lasting machines that used in daily lives. As example,metal components undergo shock painting that adds compressive stress in top surface and metal fatigue problems can be overcomed. Size of electronic devices also produced from crysallographic research that make smaller and powerful batteries,energy effcient component which is backlight of screens in our cell phones.Controlled crystal growth that determined which layers can be relaxed or be strained , deformed and matches the crystallographic structure of substrate.X-ray diffraction is used.<br>Development and production of safe medicine as counterfeit medicine widespread among us.X-ray powder diffraction is a tool that distinguish between different polymorphism (has ability to crystalline in different forms) of compound. Crystallographic also improving yield of agriculture and optimize the fertilizer for crops which are grown. Understanding the crystallography of that membranes and filters that essential for building desalination plants with reduced power consumption . Desalination is drinking water from the sea due to the river is too polluted or used for irrigation . Lastly, crystallography can be found in our food such as chocolate by adding taste in them. The arrangement of atoms can be detect by using the XRD machine. The substance tested on the XRD machine will diffract the intensity of the X-rays as the angle of the detector changing. The peak on the final graph shows that the substance is a crystal. By knowing the arrangement of atoms, the scientist can check authenticity of drug. It helps us to feed our growning population by optimizing fertilizer for crop yield, designing membranes for desalination plants, generating drinking water, adding unique taste sensation to our food and curing humans by making a lot of medicine. Next, crystallography also helps us created micro-electronic devices such as backlights and batteries of our phones. Besides, construction of building become faster and stronger after knowing the crystallography which caused the cement is produced. Learning of crystallography also helps to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide by making cement with less clinker and used alternative fuels like plastic waste to heat the kiln. This help in reducing the air population. Crystallography reduces the chance of metal fatigue. For example, shock painting are painted on the surface of metal to overcome the problem. This help metal can be used for many stuff with long term quality.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Crystal are widely found in the rocks and minerals. Mostly the crystal that found in nature are much small in size. X-ray diffractometer is an invention that show to human  the crystallography properties of a crystal that have been tested. There is many uses of crystallography in our daily lives. Cement is the significant things in order to make a building have a good strength and long lasting. Cement is made by heating the limestone and other raw material in the long rotary oven called clin. In the clin substances undergo crystallographic changes at certain temperature and yielding a material called clinker which ground afterward and mixed with other constituents in order to create cement. In the process of making the cement, the carbon dioxide gas have been produced. For each kilogram of cement,almost one kilogram of CO2 have been produced and creating about 5% of co2 emissions resulting frrom human activities. In order to reduced the co2 emission is first make cement with less clinker and secondly use alternative fuels for heating the ciln. Next is iron which is dug from the ground in mines. For iron ore,quality is judge by visual inspection.. By determining the crystallography however a much finer  credit classification of ore can be made. By using this approach makes the ore more constant in quality and it increase the profitibility of the mining activities as less waste created. Other important aspect in crystallography is understanding the crystal deformation.Fatigue crack had occur at the corner of the rectangular window. So nowadays the aeroplanes windows are oval in shape. Besides the cell phones have become so small and powerful because of the understanding o crystallography. We have create the energy efficient component. Cell phone back light is made from gallium nitride a semiconducting material.Understanding the phaemacauticals essential for development and production of save medicines. Understanding the crystallography of soils and fertilizers helps to optimize the fertilizer for the crops which are to be grown. For water consumption, understanding the crystallography of the membranes and filters is important. Lastly, the crystallography substances are present in mant food that we takes.          <description><![CDATA[<div>By watching the given video on the importance of crystallography in our daily lives, I must say that crystallography itself really plays a massive significant role in every aspects of our daily lives. As stated in the video, the main aspects that can be highlighted are basically on most used materials in industry, crystal deformation, semiconducting materials, pharmaceutical materials, fertilizers and desalination. <br><br></div><div>Hereby, I would love to answer the question delivered on this topic. The first section that has been highlighted is most used materials; Cement and Iron Ore. We all know that the two materials are widely used in industries. By learning and understanding the crystallography properties of materials and its phase changes, we can overcome the uninvited problems. In relation to Cement, the harmful problems will be the CO2 emission that will put our surrounding in risk. In this case, the understanding of crystallography properties come in handy by producing Cement with low CO2 emission. Meanwhile, Iron Ore are retrieved by mining. The collection output of Iron Ore will be inspected by its quality. Here, the uninvited problems arise where we do not exactly know how to differentiate and inspect by its quality since quality is not something we can see and we cannot guarantee the quality constant. Therefore, the visual inspection of Iron Ore (only on Low Grade &amp; High Grade) that has been used is no longer valid. The absolute solution will be crystallography inspection where the quality is constant from time to time. This will be a chance for mining industries to increase their profit, reduce damage to environment and also less waste created. <br><br></div><div>Metal fatigue is a most common failure that takes place in aircraft. By investigating the occurrence of metal fatigue, we come to a conclusion that the failure is due to crystal deformation occurred in metal. In preventing the tendency of metal fatigue to happen in aircraft, we have to consider the crystallography changes. Crystallography is an important subject in taking care of such failure to avoid massive fatality and ensure safety with impressive security. For example, the useful of fillet (rounded corners) on the oval window of aircraft are the improvised version of previous rectangular shape of the window. The stress in rectangular window are much higher compared to the stress in oval window. <br><br></div><div>Next, microelectronic devices that are widely used among people are basically based on semiconducting materials; Gallium Nitride that is proven useful and powerful by its crystallography properties. This semiconducting materials successfully provide energy efficient components that help in producing a good working devices. Crystallography really does help in providing a betterment of devices that are currently in used. <br><br></div><div>On the other hand, pharmaceutical materials are included in this topic as crystallography properties are very important in ensuring safe medicine served to the nation. There is circumstances that we can observe how significant is the crystallography in this matter. Such as the presence of Phalidomide that brings duality or polymorphism of its characteristics. This drug is dangerous to unborn child as it has adverse effect on them. A way that is used in preventing such dangerous drug being used is by measuring the crystallography and checking the authenticity of drug. This will increase the production of safe medicine and decrease in fatality.  <br><br></div><div>Fertilizers are commonly used in agriculture to nurture the yields. By knowing and understanding the crystallography of both soils and fertilizers, we definitely can optimize the fertilizers used in crops for a long-lasting growth that will be fruitful in the future. In rural parts of the globe, there still some people are in difficult to get an access to hygiene drinking water. Crystallography really come to save the difficulty that they are facing by going through a process called desalination where sea water are filtered by special filtration membranes to get polluted-free drinking water. This helps in building desalination plants and reduce power consumption. <br><br></div><div>In a nutshell, we can see the importance of understanding crystallography really help us in solving the problems by going back to core part of problems, optimizing what we are doing now for a better sustainable tomorrow. Thus, the metal can last longer without the formation of cracks. The windows of an aeroplane is round and rectangular in shape. This is because the stresses are higher at the sharp corner. Therefore, the windows are made to be in circle and rectangular shape to reduce the stresses. With the understanding of crystallography, the electronic device become more powerful. The screen backlight and battery nowadays are made to have better function by understanding the crystallography. Fertilizers are used to improve the yield of agriculture. Understanding s the crystallography helps to optimizes the fertilizer for the crop.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Bragg's Law determine at which angle a single crystal will give diffracted X-ray beam. For polycrystalline materials, only the one with correct orientation will provides a strong diffraction. Difractogram record the peaks of the diffracted angle. From the angular position of the peaks, phases of materials can be determined.<br><br>Crystallography properties is useful for contruction materials. Controlling the workability, setting time and final strength of the concrete are determined by the crystallography properties of cement. Quality of cement is determined by crystallography phases changes during cement hardening. For example, cement is made by heating limestone and other raw materials in the kiln. In the kiln, the materials undergo crystallography changes and the yielding material is clinker. Clinker is mix with other materials in order to produce cement. However, the process of making cement produces carbon dioxide which lead to global warming. So, there are several ways to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide such as make cement with less clinker and use alternative fuel to heat up the kiln.<br><br>Study of crystallography is important to our daily life materials such as iron (ore). Quality of the is determined by visual inspection, comparing the colour of the ore with the references. Ore can be classified into low grade and high grade. But, by determining the crystallography of the ore, a better classification of the ore can be made. This helps to increase the profit of the mining activities and can reduce the damage to the environment.<br><br>Crystallography is also important in understanding the crystal deformation. Nowadays, airplane windows are oval in shape. This is because airplane is subjected to cyclic loads during operation such as take off and landing. After many repeated loads, crack can be formed at the surface of the windows which can suddenly propagate metal fatigue. The fatigue crack occurss at the corner of the rectangular window. This is due to the stresses in rectangular corners are much higher than that of the rounded corners. Therefore, airplane windows have rounder corners now.<br><br>Crystallography also important in manufacturing microelectronic devices such as computer and cellphone. With crystallography knowledge, a smaller and powerful battery as well as energy efficient components such as backlight of the screen in cellphones are created.<br><br>Development and production of medicine also required the knowledge of crystallography. In order to produce a safe medicine, we need to understand crystallography. Authenticity of the medicine and drugs can be checked by measuring the crystallography properties of the medicine and drugs.<br><br>Understanding crystallography of soil and fertilisers helps to optimise the fertilisers for the crops which are to be grown. Nowadays, drinking water are polluted. So, making drinking water from the sea (desalination) is important. For example, cement that are use in construction of buildings, understanding its crystallographic properties enable construction worker to control the process of constructing concrete and also build buildings with higher quality and longer lifespan.</div><div>Although producing cement increase the emission of CO2 to our surroundings, by understanding the crystallographic properties of cement we are able to reduce CO2 emission like using alternative fuels and using less clinker during the production of cement</div><div>Instead of comparing iron ores with our naked eyes in order to determine the quality, we can determine the crystallographic of iron ores and able to have a better classification of the iron ores. Crystal appears in nature, forming under high pressure underground. It can be ranged from a few millimetres to metres. The surprise is every single crystal has its own unique properties. Only when we understand about the crystal structure, the quality of our lives can be increased.</div><div><br></div><div>The importance of crystallography is firstly illustrated by the cement in the video. Cement is the main construction material of buildings, bridges and etc. To have a strong and safe building, the workability and its strength of the cement has to be determined accurately. All thanks to the knowledge of crystallography, as it helps to know the crystallographic or phases changes of the cement in the changing of temperature, humidity and other factors. Besides, the production of cement originally releases carbon dioxide in the amount as 5% of human activity. With the understanding of crystallography, we’re known that making the cement with less clinker can reduce the emission of carbon dioxide.</div><div><br></div><div>The next importance of crystallography is showed by the crystal deformation of a substance. Since the failure of the plane’s construction, multiple times of testing searching the causes has done, the final result is the stress in window frame in airplane. To solve the problem, compressive stress in the surface of the metallic component is increased by adding shock painting on the top surface, so the micro cracks are more closer and reduce metal fatigue. Diffractogram consists of peak as a function of diffraction angle from the angular position of the peaks. XRD is not only used to identify single phase material. The different components (phases) of mixture can also be determined from the relative intensity of the peaks, the relative abundance of the phases can also be computed. Diffractogram can be recorded for many substances no matter in powder form, solid, thin film and so on. These materials determine the quality of our daily lives. Thus, it shows that crystallography is important in our lives.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>1.<strong>&nbsp; </strong>Produce environmental friendly products for a greener earth.<strong><br></strong>For example, production of cement produce CO2 which responsible for global warming. Therefore, we should find out alternatives to lower the CO2 emission during the process. In construction field, crystallography is used to determine the constituents of mixtures and also been used to determine the phases in the mixtures from the relative intensity of the peaks and the relative abundance of the phases. As an example, cement is important for construction. Thus, by using crystallography we can improve the quality of the cement, control the work ability, the setting times and the final strength. By using crystallography, we can also produce cement with low emission of carbon. 60% from limestone calcination, 30% is from the Kiln fuel and 10% is from the grinding of the clinker.<br><br>In the side of aeronautics , the importance of crystallography is used to overcome the failure that can happened on the aircraft such as metal fatigue. By using crystallography,&nbsp; we can improve a materials to be safe and long lasting.An accident happened , two aircraft was built on 50's was crashed. Thus, an investigation have been conducted to knows the problems. The problems have been detected that causes from the airplane windows. After the investigation have been carried out, we know that rectangular windows have more pressure. Thus an alternative have been carried out. Nowadays, circular is been used compared to rectangular windows because circular windows have lower pressure.<br><br>Next, crystallography also been used in order to make electronic devices. By using crystallography it makes electronic devices way more smaller and have a powerful batteries also makes the devices is more energy efficient. As an example the backlight is made from Gallium Nitride which should have a right crystallographic properties for a good working devices. Crystallography is used to probe the crystallographic quality of these layers, well produced LED will results in energy efficiency and long lasting cells phone screen.<br><br>In medicine field, mastering the crystallography is essential for the development of safe medicine.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Crystals are a result of volcanic activity under high environmental pressure and are finally crystallized from water.Bragg's law is  used to determine the angle of the x-ray beam formed as a result of diffraction off a particular crystal's surface.Where as for poly-crystalline materials,mainly powdered substances,only the crystalline structures with the right orientation will provide a diffracted x-ray beam.The angular position of peaks on a diffractogram describe the phases of a mixture.Solid materials also do produce peaks in a diffractogram.These diffractogram resukts explain the quality of a material and its suitability to be used in our daily lives.<br><br>Examplary,, cement is used to build mass structures that we reside in or  take shelter upon everyday. The strength and quality of the structure is decided by many factors, namely phase changes during cement hardening, controlling workability and the final strength of concrete.The knowledge of crystallography is also required in making nature friendly cement(releases less CO2).<br> Besides cement, iron also is a very important material in our daily lives.Th equality of the iron ore is never constant. Crystallography is a branch of science that examines crystal. <br>From the video, it tell us about the importance of crystallography. One of it was production of cement. Cement is the main construction materials. The quality of the cement is determine by the crystallographic phase changes during cement hardening. The making of cement results in the emission of&nbsp; CO<sub>2</sub> , one of the gas responsible for global warming. By making a cement with less clinker and using alternative fuels for heating the kiln helps to reduce the emission of CO<sub>2</sub>. Both ways require the understanding of crystallography properties of the cements.<br>Another important materials in our daily life is iron.Starting point of iron is ore. Visual inspections is used to determine the quality of the iron and ore. By determining the crystallography a much finer classifications of ore body can be made. Therefore, less waste is created and the damage to environment is reduced.<br>Next, crystallography will make we understand about crystal deformation. By understanding this, metal fatigue problems can largely overcomed. Understanding of crystallographic deformation is essential for making the safe and long lasting machines that we used in our daily life.<br>Microelectronic devices such as cellphones has become so small and powerful because of our understanding of crystallography. Crystallography determines the functioning of many of their components like screen backlights and batteries.<br>Understanding the crystallography pharmaceutical is essential for the development and production of safe medicine. By measuring the crystallography, we can also check the authenticity of drug.<br>Understanding of crystallography of soil and fertilizers helps to optimize the fertilizers for the crops which are to be grown, designing membranes for desalination plants and generating drinking water.<br>Lastly, crystallography is important as it contributes in the food substances we take by adding taste in the food.<br>Knowing the using of crystallography will make us to know the function the material and identified the characteristic of the element.          <title>Crystallography occurs as the result of organic action under high pressure. X ray diffractometer is used to study the crystallographic properties of matter. The study of crystallography is very essential in our life because from that we can improvise and have a much comfortable and safer lifestyle. Nowadays, technologies evolve and keep changing almost everyday. For instance, we can compare cell phones produced in the 70s and smartphone that we used now. Thanks to crystallography, our smartphone is much more compact, powerful and yet energy saving. For your information, the backlight screens in phones are made from semiconductor consisting of many thin layers of different materials. In chemical vapour deposition reactors, the layers can relax or strained without deformation, depending on the growth conditions. By studying the crystallographic structure of materials, the properties of materials that are obtained can be used to identify materials with better qualities that meet our needs. We also can study the deformation of the materials to produce matters that are much safer, durable and most importantly, can undergo cyclic process with lesser deformation. In pharmaceutical industry, crystallography are also essential in order to produce much safer medicines for consumers. For example, phalidomide developed in 50s was found to bring negative impact on the unborn child. We can also check the authenticity of medicine and identifying which structure of crystallography gives out safer medicine with better effect for consumers. All of this can be done from doing the X ray diffraction test on the sample, and then distinguishing the different structure of compound. There are actually more examples of application of crystallography but from these few examples that I have point out, we can say that our life is more at ease thanks to the study of crystallography. It affects how we modernize and improve our lifestyle, but at the same time we also improve our health level.</title>
