Cependant, il a évolué au fil du temps. 
Malgré ses défauts, ce système est toujours suivi pour une raison : La notation donne des moyens standardisés d'évaluer la performance d'une grande variété d'étudiants. 
????? Ceci dit, ce système aurait-il toujours la même valeur qu'autrefois? 

 et à mon avis c’est primordial. En Inde, les notes sont traitées comme extrêmement importantes et à cause d'un environnement avec une compétition extrême, les étudiants font face à un stress inutile. Mais malgré cela, le problème n'est pas le système de notation mais plutôt sa mise en œuvre.
