Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.

Apply what you have learned. IXL is a great learning source where students can really apply what they know about the subject. It enforces what they have learned very well. This website does also often offer different competitions to make the learning more enjoyable to the student.

This is a fun game that really commits what has been learned to memory. It's nice because this is a simple resource for memorizing and becoming familiar with the the vocabulary and making the connection with the shape.

Use this Geo-board to create different shapes with all different sides and corners. I like it because it lets students just play around a fidget with their thinking. There is no specific directions or even really an objective. It allows the student to make their own shape. I would probably ask students to write and maybe describe shaped they made. I also like it because it is not mentally straining.

This is a Quizlet that was made for 3rd grade geometry. This is good for learning because even within the website there are several different learning techniques such as classic flashcards, a program designed for learning. a game using the flashcards, and finally a quiz. This is a great resource because it can be used in so many different ways by all different types of learners.

Use this to learn the material in a fun way that makes it much easier to understand and remember. Songs that get stuck in your head easily are great learning strategies because they are hard to forget. I have seen classrooms where the kids love to learn all the songs and talk about their favorites and the teacher will even use the class's favorite video as a bit of a reward.
