Growing up, my family was very close. Everywhere I went, I was attached by the hip to my Mom, Dad, and Sister. We did and still do everything together and with that came vacations, sports, meals, and more.

Being a younger sister can be fun but hard

Growing up, I was always at the lacrosse field watching my older sister McKenzie play lacrosse. My dad was a coach for our local travel team so my whole family would always go to her games. I was never a sports girl, I did ballet and art classes. But eventually being around the environment constantly allowed me to realize that I wanted to start lacrosse and follow in my sisters footsteps.

Even though lacrosse held a special place in my heart because I basically was raised at the lacrosse field, I still was unsure about my future. I competitively danced, and played field hockey for my high school. I knew I wanted to continue something in College but was unsure of what. However, when my sister went to play Division 1 lacrosse in College and the University of Vermont I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps.

And now here I am! Playing Division 1 lacrosse at Presbyterian College thanks to my sister for showing me what following your dreams and dedication can do for you. I am forever thankful for my dad always being by my side cheering for me, and my mom for always being my number 1 fan. It really shows how far my family has gotten me today!

What does the future bring?

Because of the constant role model my sister has been for me growing up, I would like to further my education just like my sister has decided to do. I am currently applying to law schools, which has been my goal since just 9th grade. I aspire to be an attorney or work within the government at some point!
