I chose this topic because students being able to rhyme is a very important skill that needs to be taught at an early age. This skill helps student connect words when reading for example if they know the word is "sat then they should be able to read the word "bat".

Students will given a word and they have to whisper a word to the teacher that rhymes with it. The student will then act out the word for the rest of the class to guess. The class has to be aware that the words need to rhyme. The first student to get it will then be next to act out a word.

I really like the idea of this lesson. For this lesson I would read a book to the kids about animals and then give them a paper bag and have them make an animal on the bag for their puppet.
