Throughout the process of this designing and making project we recognised the value of collaboration within the designing and making process. We believe that having carried out this process we can now better understand the process of designing and making in group settings.Morover, we can differentiate this activity or other similar activities to meet the needs of a wide variety of pupils.
We also recognised the value of each phase of the process. We came to a collective agreement that giving each stage of the process appropriate time is essential in order to gain from the process of designing and making.

When testing our birdfeeder, we placed it in the garden, in an open area. Before we unveiled it, we marked where the feed was at. We then checked the level, twice a day for two weeks. During the first two days, we noted that there was not much change, but by day three we noticed a pair of finches at the feeder. We witnessed these birds obtain the food from the feeder. At the end of week 2, we noticed a significant reduction in food. No squirrels were able to access the feeder as they were unable to climb to pole to reach the feeder.
