At my first day, my task is very simple since the current workers teach me on how to serve customers in proper way. 

Since I am working at Patisserie, it is all about western food. Meaning that, I have to apply what I have learn from my serving class from carrying tray and plates until crumbing down method.

The current waiter named as Abang Jad and Abang Is, they were satisfied with my knowledge and experiences since they do not have to teach me more. 

Everything is work smoothly today. 

Since I came earlier, I learn on how to open the café such as swipe and moping the floor, arrange the plate and cutleries, cleaning and checking the coffee machine. 

About coffee machine, I have to make sure that coffee powder is always restock in the machine and learn on how to use the machine properly since the main beverage here is coffee like one shot or two shot of coffee as requested from customer. This is because to avoid any complaint from a customer especially regular customer if their coffee had a different tastes, not like the previous one. 

Therefore, I need to learn more about this machine.

Everything is okay until one of regular customer are complaining about his coffee. He said, the coffee does not have a same taste like he used before. 

Without wasting a time, I say sorry for what happened and replace his coffee right away. I am glad that he is okay after that. 

From here I know that customer has their right to complain regarding their foods or drinks.

At 2 pm, all her families coming and everything is already served at the tables. While they enjoying their eating, I came with a birthday cake as I had told to do so. Everyone is enjoy the moments. 

Other than that, I also manage to deliver the foods and serve the other customers very well.
                A family celebration end at 4 pm. As the result, Miss Nisa thanked to the staff especially me, who is helped her through everything until it happens. 

She also give me a ‘tips’ but I refused because I helped her sincerely without any doubts.

 As we arrived at the café around 12pm, supplier of the café came for updating the stocks. Supplier will come to the café every Wednesday and staff who is in charge for checking all the stocks must update every Monday since our café closed on Tuesday. 

From there, little did I know, the café has deliver the fresh stuff to the customers since they are updating stocks every weeks, not a month.

The task given for me today is I have to perform my duty as kitchen assistant since there is one worker named Kak Sha, has an emergency case. 

At first I felt so nervous since I do not have any experience at the kitchen’s restaurant in reality. 

Luckily, everything is works smoothly since chef is a very good person. He helped me by giving an order on what to do atleast I did not feel awkward by myself. 

When it comes to happy hours, which is many customers are coming during peak hour around 4 to 6 pm, I need to rush as a kitchen helper. 

In kitchen, there is no time to chat because both of us are so focus on our duty. We will feel free once the order is ended so that we can rest for a while.

 There is no joke to play around while you are on kitchen. Everything must be prepared and be careful.

 The only duty that I do as a kitchen helper is by doing mice en place, stir the fries and decorate the main course with salad or sauce. 

I am so lucky that I have gain an experience as a kitchen assistant.

I helped her baking the cakes and decorate the cakes. Some of the cakes decorated with mix fruits such as strawberries and kiwi and some of them was decorated with melt dark or white chocolate and nuttela. 

In patieserie, cakes that available from time to time is cheese cakes, brownies, moist chocolate cakes, pavlova, red velvet and other cookies too.

 

A supplier named Ah Chong come at 12 pm. Once he arrived, I definitely pass the paper of stocks that I’ve wrote to him. Everything settled within 30 minutes. After that he came back with all the stocks to be updated. As soon as everything is settle, I inform to the Miss Alya and she really thanked for me by replacing her.

Therefore, I grab this chance in order to make it as my experience! It was fun by staring at my handwriting on the cakes!
