For this topic, we watched a video about the greatest risks of using the internet. Mainly, on social media though. After this, we were put into groups, and made a poster about one of the greatest risks. I remember that my groups greatest risks was accidentally downloading malware. This covered the ways in which malware might sneak its way onto your device, and the effects of it being on a device.

With this topic we did a fill in the blank assignment which we would use what we know to answer the lines. This was when we got into coding and started learning block coding in scratch. Things like bugs, conditionals, loops, and events were covered when learning the terminology. It was one of those things that is just kind of nice to know.

Folder/File Organization was one of the first things we did in computer tech. We created one main class folder, and then more sub folder for precise things we would be doing in the class. For example, a Word, Excel, and PowerPoint folder. We also watched a video on how to create the folders and the many reasons you may want to consider having organization. I remember one of those reasons being for bills when you are older. Like your water, electricity, and heat bills. We used these folders for the whole semester and they ended up being really useful.

Binary Code is a series of ones and zeros that computers use to function. We did an assignment which consisted of writing out number one through ten using binary code. Also, we wrote our names out using binary code. It was interesting to learn because I had never heard of it, but its kind of mathematical and I like math so I enjoyed it.

Breakouts were a series of mind challenging questions that we had to answer correct in order to "breakout." It was like a game but academic. These were really fun to do because it was almost a race to see who could get done first. Also, it makes you think outside of the box, which I think help out my reasoning skills and problem solving skills more. Overall, the breakouts were a really fun way to end off the weeks because usually they were to be done on Fridays.

This was also like the breakouts where it wasn't really a "computer tech" lesson but more of a fun one to challenge your brain. These were pretty fun too, and overall I liked it.

This was a quick and easy lesson in which we crafted a formal email to send one of our teachers. I appreciated learning this because now I can email my teachers sounding professional and not like a teenager texting one of my friends.
