Well, I did some research about the topic myself. I found that the poor representation of women can lead to a fun variety of problems:

               So, how can PETA, a suddenly feminist organization, have such a not-so-feminist past? You can't use radical feminism and being "woke" to try to infiltrate the millennial demographic, who are you gonna try to appeal to next? The black community? The gay community? How are you going to outline the rules of feminism when you used those very same women to literally lick pumpkins in your ad? You don't need sex to sell vegetarianism PETA, and you certainly don't need to use an already marginalized group of people to do so. You're trying to make veganism and vegetarianism appealing to your audience, but newsflash PETA, vegans don't even like ya'll.

               Feminism is so often used as a tool to make branding better and seem more inclusive, but in reality, it's all smoke and mirrors. Feminism is a movement that should be led by powerful women and work towards achieving goals and working towards real things, real problems. Not sitting and typing up an article about chickens. If you really want to help women and be a true feminist, help homeless women get the resources they need, support your local Planned Parenthood, use your vote (if you are of age) wisely, and make real change. Because that's what we truly need in this era of technology, people who are willing to go out and actually make a change in the world and make their time here useful.
