         <title>Building Momentum and Flow for a lesson in a Kindergarten Class</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>For my practicum, I am placed in a Kindergarten class. My MT builds momentum and flow throughout the various interactive activities she plans during her lesson. For instance, while teaching a phonics lesson, my MT incorporates interactive songs, stories, videos, sorting and matching activities, etc. Each activity is done at a certain time to help students remain engaged in the lesson. The flow of the lesson follows a similar pattern, however, sometimes I find my MT pivots from her usual method and changes the flow of the lesson based on keeping students engaged or other factors that may occur during the day. Along with building momentum and establishing flow in the lesson, my MT also provides opportunities for "brain breaks" where students usually do some physical movement activities that are related to the concept being taught. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My Mentor Teacher usually builds momentum by using multiple modes to teach a lesson, during one lesson she may use a video, a book, and props to teach a new concept. I find that the students respond to the different modes, some prefer videos, others prefer hands on. </p><p>QD</p>]]></description>

She stays calm, never yells, and manages the class with quiet cues. Her lessons are well-paced, keeping students engaged with interactive activities and technology. She checks for understanding using quick assessments and adjusts as needed. Her organization and intentionality create a smooth, positive learning environment where students stay focused and motivated.
