In my experience with integrating technology into the math classroom, I have learned that you need to be purposeful about what technology you want to use. It is very easy to give the students an online worksheet to complete on their own, but it is not as effective as giving the students a technology task to work on with their peers. I have seen that Desmos is a great tool that allows the students to collaborate with their classmates while digging deeper into math concepts.

Paige Stoughton

My favorite way to integrate technology in the classroom that the students have responded well to is to use virtual manipulatives when possible. Given these student's backgrounds with learning digitally they have not gotten to experience hands on math. This is a good transition for them.

-tifini

In my experience, integrating technology into the classroom is something that takes careful consideration. I make sure that if you are using technology you use it in a way that will help students not hinder them. I love using Kahoot, Jam Board, and Desmos. Each of those allows students to work together and to discover new topics by themselves or in groups. Typically for me, in groups is the best option. Worksheets give students extra practice but don't mean that they are the most effective tool to use for learning.

-TP

One of my favorite ways to integrate technology into my lessons is using Nearpod. I love using Nearpod for many different reasons. One thing that is great about Nearpod is you are able to make the lessons interactive. This way my students are engaged in the lesson. I can have them answer open ended questions and look at them and discuss the answers with the whole class. I can add VR slide where they can look around at an area on a map and explore.

Nearpod is a great way to make your lessons different and fun!
