         <description><![CDATA[<div>Can programs like Zearn and Frontrow really help my low students improve with programs that adjust as they answer?<br>Revisit:<br>My action research was on individualized instruction and while my own research was not on either of these programs, I do believe that there are benefits from using them.  Students in general can benefit from having technology integration in core subjects like English and math.  In regards to the individualized aspect of these programs, I found that a teacher needs to be able to allow the students adequate time to implement the programs in order to see results.  Without doing so they may see very minimal results.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I wonder if students feel more confident demonstrating their understanding with tools like flip grid or SeeSaw video than face to face in a small group.&nbsp;<br><br>Revisit:<br>Collaboration is difficult for many students to practice because it can be socially awkward or unconformable for them to navigate how to compromise.  The use of Seesaw or Flipgrid could get students used to collaboration on a digital platform which may lead to them feeling more at ease with their peers.  One group's research topic was collaboration in primary grades and they showed that collaboration in primary grades can enhance a students ability to demonstrate knowledge.  This makes me want to figure out how to more purposefully incorporate it into my instruction.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I wonder if the use GDocs throughout the writing process will help my students to be better writers instead of only using paper and pencil.&nbsp;<br><br>Revisit:<br>Another group did a case study on motivation with technology tools and I think that this topic would fall under this same topic.  Writing for a lot of the students is something they love to do and for many it is something they dread.  When they are faced with writing, but are given technology to complete the task many will have a different response.  I have seen it in my own classroom, where students who are allowed to write with a Chromebook will gladly write instead of doing the same with paper and pencil. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I wonder if the tutorial videos on individualized math programs actually help the students to answer similar questions correctly. At what age are those optimal at helping a student's understanding.<br><br>Revisit:<br>When videos are included in the presentation of information the students see the example in the same way that a teacher would present the information. When provided with the option of watching the video very few of my younger students would access the video, even when getting the problem incorrect. When the content was presented with questions spread out intermittently, the students had to demonstrate knowledge of understanding before moving on. If I were to pursue the research on this topic I think I would research the ability of students to demonstrate knowledge either by watching a whole video vs. it being broken up into sections. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What tech tools help students to master their math facts the fastest and with retention?&nbsp; (ie: front row piggy practice)&nbsp;<br><br>Revisit:<br>We didn't investigate math fact games or technology, but after reading research on feedback and individualized instruction I can say that the components of a math facts program need to have: 1) quick feedback for the user 2) be able to adapt based on the user  3) have some  kind of student interest buy in.  Knowing those things, a program like Front Row math facts with a monetary type prize aspect would probably be more interesting for a student rather than Xtra math where they do only math facts and then see their results with no other high student interest component. </div>]]></description>
