Try to shoot female expression of negative emotion and turmoil in many different physical settings -- like Petra Collins.
2. Set up a wide camera shoot and have many models all posed in non-traditional portrait settings.
3. Use objects to obstruct the face in order to enhance the form.
4. Use objects to obstruct the lighting falling on the face, such as colanders. I've done this before, but need to figure out how to make it special.
5. Have a shoot where models are intensely dressed in black and white, including their makeup, and accentuate pops of color in a set up neon background, perhaps some small ones on their faces.
6. Have a shoot where I don't edit the models at all and compare how genuine those expressions of emotion feel to the ones I edited.
7. Using mirrors as a primary subject -- shooting through the eye of the person in the photo.
8. Shoot where traditionally masculine traits -- sharp features etc -- are accentuated on female models through makeup.
9. One shoot where the model is made to blend into the background as much as possible except an accent, possibly an unconventionally colored tear etc., on their face.
10. Expressing positive emotion through a shoot that is mostly muted colors -- seeing if I can make the feeling contradict the color scheme.
11. One shoot centered around fear: perhaps a villain/victim storyline, or perhaps just attempting to capture feminine coming of age feelings like fear.
12. One shoot where any non-facial body parts are the focus. ie: shoulders, hands, knees -- changing the subject within the subject.
13. Traditional portrait intensely blurred background -- I tend not to like these -- but perhaps for one pivotal moment in the storyline, or a particularly strong emotion.
14. Models under/behind things -- buried in a pool of papers, lit by only their computer screens, etc. I want to convey overwhelmedness, and I think a good way to do that is to partially physically cover the subject.
15. Reflect images of my subjects onto the wall, and then photograph them posing in front of their own picture. I want to portray female expression of emotion during formative coming of age years. I hope to find how complex the range of teenage female emotion can be, and how different between several different subjects. Eventually, my project will portray that coming of age is a spectrum, and affects young women very differently based on how they react to the pressure.

2) Describe how your sustained investigation will show evidence of practice, experimentation, and revision guided by your question(s) or inquiry 

I am prepared to place extensive detail on the technical elements of each shoot. I plan to work in criticism from each critique to guide the plan for the next. My editing will be entirely guided by people's reactions to the photos -- if the emotion they are provoking in other people is different than I intend, I can try a different color scheme, a different pose, or perhaps redo the shoot with a different model. I want to genuinely convey how female emotion is expressed -- the nature of that is tumultuous so I will need to edit and revise often.
